In recent years, Mobile Optimization has been the main concern for most businesses. Mobile App Developers have many programming languages to use; some of these are better suited for certain tasks than others. 8 of the leading programming languages are:

1- HTML 5

HTML5 is a W3C specification that defines the fifth significant revision of the Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML). It is a software solution stack that defines the properties and behaviours of page content by implementing a mark-up based pattern to it. Other features in HTML5 include particular functions for embedding graphics, audio, video, and interactive documents.

2- Objective-C

The programming language Objective-C was initially created in the early 1980s. It was selected as the main language used by NeXT for its Next STEP operating system, from which macOS and iOS are obtained. Objective-C has had an overwhelming spot as an essential dialect in the realm of Mobile Application Development for a long time. It was a major programming language used by Apple for iOS and OS X development before Swift. Building a mobile app through Objective – C is easy as it is simple to use, uses dynamic run-time, potent typing, and last but not the least, one can use C++ and C while using Objective C.

3- Swift

Since Apple’s 2014 announcement, Swift has become prominent rapidly and reached the top 10 list of best programming languages for mobile apps. Swift can be a great choice as a primary mobile app development language, especially for building high-performance and interactive apps for iOS and Mac OS. Swift can surpass Objective-C when it comes to considering quick, streamlined and more effortless programming language that is built from group up to enable high-quality iOS development. Based on its increasing usage across platforms like iPhone, iPad and WatchOS, we can say Swift will thrive in the coming future.

4- C++

C++ is a general-purpose, object-oriented programming language with low-level memory manipulation feature. The language has amplified significantly over time and modern C++ has features that are generic, and functional in addition to facilities for low-level memory manipulation. By learning C++, you can generate apps that will operate on a broad range of hardware platforms such as personal computers running Windows, Linux, UNIX, and Mac OS X.

5- C#

Developed by Microsoft in 2000, C# (Also known as C Sharp) is a simple, modern and type-safe programming language that combines the high productivity of rapid application development languages with the compilation of C and C++. As a competent and multi-paradigm programming language, C# is used with XML-based Web services on the .NET platform and is designed for improving productivity in the development of Web and mobile applications.

6- Java

Java has always been the undisputable leader of being the most prominent mobile app coding language since its birth. It is mainly utilized for developing desktop applications, back-end web frameworks and Android applications. Java applications are typically compiled to byte code that can run on any Java virtual machine (JVM) regardless of the underlying computer structure. Java is based on the concept of objects and is also known as the Object-Oriented Programming language.

7- JavaScript

One factor that makes developing apps on JavaScript convenient is that you only have to code the app once and it can be released on all the platforms including Android, iOS, and Windows. JavaScript has curly-bracket syntax, dynamic typing, prototype-based and first-class functions that conform to the ECMA Script specification. JavaScript can interact with HTML source code, enabling Web authors to revive their sites with dynamic content.

8- Python

Created and released in 1991, Python, a high-level programming language, emphasizes code readability with its significant use of whitespace. Due to concern about the amount of code written for Python 2, support for Python 2.7 (the last release in the 2.x series) has been expanded to 2020. You can use Python for developing desktop GUI applications, websites and mobile applications. Python’s design philosophy allows you to focus on the core functionality of apps by taking care of common programming tasks. It is popular because of its clear, readable syntax, quick progression and versatility across various mediums.
