Web designing is one of the important parts of any business and to become the best web design companies in UK, one must have a talented UX designer. UX designers are the modern designers that know the trends and technologies of the 21st century.

The skills of UX designers have the ability to transform the companies and the products they create and with the beginning of the new decade, we will see permeation of design practices into all areas of successful business along with cross-functionality, inclusivity, and specialization.

In this blog, we will bring light to some of the lesser-known but important skills that every UX designer must-have.

1. Information Gatherer

It is a well-known fact that all UX designers must have good communication skills. But communication being a broad term, UX designers have to collaborate with their team members, discuss results with the clients and sometimes also conduct testing.

The decision-making process majorly involves user input and hence UX designers have to conduct successful user and client interviews, questionnaires and surveys.

They should be able to ask the right question the first time to allow the other team members to work smoothly.

2. Feedback Wrangler

UX designers also have to bring feedbacks from different channels. They have to work with the other members of the team like UI designers, UX writers, coders, marketers, clients, and users. They not only have to give feedback but also have to ask for from them whenever required.

3. Emerging Technologist

UX designers have to stay with the trend if they want to make a difference and want to make a lifelong career in the field. They should be aware of the latest technologies like Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence and more. According to the Adobe report, 45% of managers are looking for UX designers that have skills in Virtual Reality and 37% want to hire UX designers with Augmented Reality skills.

The cutting0edge technologies like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data, etc. are already making an impact and every UX designer must know about them.

4. Ethical Designer

Ethics are a must in today’s fast-paced age of digitalization. We all know we want to bring the best experiences to our users but that does not mean we should detriment the health of them by making them addicted.

With the improper use of technology, tech addiction and sleep deprivation have become some of the greater issues in our society and it is the duty of the UX designers to adopt more ethical ways in their works.

5. Cross-Disciplinarian

UX designers need to have a deep understanding of what the users want so that they can bring the right experience to the users. Not only that, the UX designers should have empathy with the members they are working with.

The UX designers create an experience which then has to be visualized by the UI designer. Also, the UX writers have to put words to it. Hence the decisions that they make directly affect their teammates. It wouldn’t be fair to the coders too if the designed experience cannot be translated into something usable for the web. Hence, even the UX designers must have some sort of coding skills along with the designing skills so as to understand the limits.

UX designers must be able to master the basic skills of a designer along with the above modern skills. A solid foundation is necessary to bring out the best results.
